Gibb's Point ends the straight, Sandys and Southampton follow, then the lap runs through the City of Hamilton, Pembroke, Smith's and Hamilton parish to Ruth's Point and Saint George's, before Cable Bay brings it home.

The Grand Prix of Bermuda is a coastal course with 52 metres of climb.

Around the Bermuda track

Gibbs Hill Lighthouse stands on the high ground above the cliff road, and the pastel roofs below it give the view its colour. Little pastel cottages line the route, one with a moongate, a round stone arch, in its garden. Mopeds and cars are parked by the fences, and the sea sits below the barriers. A banner says Welcome to Bermuda, and the boards read Hamilton.

How to drive the Bermuda circuit

The main straight is 1,330 metres, ending at Gibb's Point. Straight after comes Sandys, turn 2, the slowest corner at 71 km/h, so the first two braking zones come close together. Then the cliff road climbs and falls through 52 metres, with the sea never far away.
