Twenty-three corners in 3.7 km make the Fiji racing game a lap that never lets up. It's a track drawn from Fiji's coastline, round Viti Levu, the largest island: from Western and Nandi up to Lautoka, along a string of points and passages to Ucuivucuidua Point, over Korolevu Peak, through Kaba Point and Sauniwangga to Suva, then on to Uduya Point, Central and Dogowale Settlement.

The Fijian Grand Prix is a downtown street circuit with 28 metres of rolling climb.

Around the Fiji track

A Fijian bure and the Sri Siva Subramaniya temple are the two big landmarks, with a Hindu temple and a drua outrigger canoe nearby. Thatched Pacific buildings line the street, sugarcane grows beyond the town, and minibuses and pickups are parked by the barriers. The banner says Bula, the sky is clear, and the boards name Nadi, Lautoka, Viti Levu, Mamanuca, Taveuni and Suva.

How to drive the Fiji circuit

There isn't much straight to speak of: 460 metres, ending at Western, turn 1. After that the corners come thick and fast through the downtown streets. The slowest is Ucuivucuidua Point at 70 km/h, turn 12, right in the middle of the lap, and the rhythm through the points either side is where the time is.
