Grenada is small enough that its circuit takes in nearly the whole island. In this Grenada racing game the lap runs on a track drawn from Grenada's coastline: it leaves Saint Mark, rounds Saint Patrick and Saint Andrew, runs down past Great Bacolet Point and La Sagesse Bay, then swings along the south coast by Westerhall Point before finishing at Saint George's. Eleven corners, each named after the stretch of shore it follows, make up the 4.3 km lap.

It's a woodland parkland layout, flat at just 12 metres of climb, which makes it a good place to learn braking points.

Around the Grenada track

St George's harbour and Fort George anchor the view, with fishing boats moored below the fort. The buildings are Caribbean pastel, soft pinks, yellows and blues, and banana plants fill the gaps between the trees. Nutmeg shows up trackside too, fitting for the island people call the Spice Isle. Minibuses and pickups are parked behind the fences, a flag-waving crowd lines the run, and a banner reads Welcome to Grenada. The boards along the barriers say St. George's.

How to drive the Grenada circuit

The 1,250-metre main straight is the lap's big moment, and it ends at Saint Mark, the obvious place to outbrake someone. Magazin Beach, the second-to-last corner, is the slowest at 79 km/h. With almost no elevation, the time comes from the line, not the hills.
