The Haiti racing game is all about climbing. It's a race track shaped like Haiti, following the border and coast from Sud and Les Cayes out along the southern peninsula to Grand'Anse, back through Ouest and Moulin-sur-Mer, up through L'Artibonite to Nord-Ouest and Nord-Est, and then down by Centre and Morne Haut Platon to Sud-Est. Eleven corners over 4.9 km, and very little of it is level.
This is an alpine circuit with extreme elevation, 157 metres of climb in all, and the Haitian Grand Prix asks a lot of your brakes.

Around the Haiti track
The Citadelle Laferrière sits high on a mountain above the lap, a huge stone fortress against the sky. Painted tap-tap buses and a gingerbread house with fretwork balconies stand along the way, the buildings are Caribbean pastel, and banana plants grow on the slopes. Minibuses and pickups are parked by the fences. The banner reads Byenveni · Bienvenue, and the boards list Cap-Haïtien, Jacmel, Gonaïves and Port-au-Prince.

How to drive the Haiti circuit
The 820-metre main straight ends at Sud, turn 1, the place to make a move. After that the road climbs and drops hard. The slowest corner is the last one, Sud-Est at 70 km/h, so a clean exit there sets up the whole run down the straight.
