Five of the corner names on this lap begin with North Andros, and that is a clue to the shape. The Bahamas racing game uses a track drawn from the Bahamas' coastline, and its 12 corners trace Andros: North Andros 1 at the end of the straight, then Markey, Central Andros and Turner Sound, out to the Straits of Florida, back up through four more North Andros corners, and home past Round Bush, Naird Point and Nicholls Town.

The Grand Prix of Bahamas runs on a modern purpose-built circuit with 33 metres of rolling climb and clear skies.

Around the Bahamas track

The pink government buildings of Nassau are the centrepiece, with a lighthouse standing over the water. Conch boats are tied up near the track, and the land around it is low, sandy and close to sea level, like an atoll. Pastel Caribbean houses add colour, while cars and minibuses wait behind the fences. The boards read Nassau, and a banner says Welcome to the Bahamas.

How to drive the Bahamas circuit

The 720-metre main straight ends at North Andros 1, the first of five corners that share the name. The slowest is North Andros 4, turn 8, at 85 km/h, so this is a quick lap overall. It rolls over 33 metres, and the modern layout rewards a smooth, unhurried line.
