Fifties Cadillacs parked along the fences tell you where you are before the banner does. This Cuba racing game puts a track drawn from Cuba's coastline on a harbour front, 13 corners in 4.3 km. The lap leaves Camagüey for Nuevitas, Holguín and Banes, comes back west through Manzanillo, Granma, Las Tunas and Ciego de Ávila to Cienfuegos, then crosses by Güines and Matanzas to the Gulf of Mexico.
The Cuban Grand Prix is a flat marina circuit with only 7 metres of climb.

Around the Cuba track
El Capitolio stands over the harbour with classic cars lined up in front, and the Morro Castle lighthouse stands by the water. Sugarcane grows along the road, 1950s cars and Cadillacs fill the parking behind the barriers, and the houses are painted in Caribbean pastels. The banner reads Bienvenidos a Cuba, and the boards name Santiago, Varadero, Trinidad, Viñales and Havana. Clear skies, flat ground, water close by.

How to drive the Cuba circuit
The 1,250-metre main straight ends at Camagüey, turn 1, a big stop and the obvious place to pass. With barely any climb, the lap is about braking and exits. The slowest corner is the last one: the Gulf of Mexico, at 76 km/h. Nail it and you start the straight with speed in hand.
