Chile is long and thin, and so is this track. In the Chile racing game you race a track drawn from Chile's outline, which turns the lap into one enormous straight and a knot of corners in the far south: Seno Otway, the Estrecho de Magallanes, Puerto Natales, Villa O'Higgins and the Península de Taitao, before the road heads north to Arica y Parinacota and the long run back down. Eight corners, six kilometres.

The Chilean Grand Prix is held on the cliffs between the Andes and the Pacific, with 140 metres of climb.

Around the Chile track

The moai of Easter Island stand over the track. The jagged towers of Torres del Paine fill the southern skyline, Valparaíso's coloured houses stack up the hillside, and vineyards run between the bends. Cars and buses are parked by the fences, the banner says Bienvenidos a Chile, and the boards along the barriers read Atacama, Patagonia, Andes and Santiago. Out to the west there is nothing but the Pacific.

How to drive the Chile circuit

Everything here is about the straight: 2,770 metres from Arica y Parinacota all the way down to Seno Otway, where you brake hard for turn 1. Then the lap gets serious. There's a steep plunge and a climb, and the slowest corner, the Península de Taitao, drops you to 71 km/h. Lose time there and the straight won't give it back.
