Senegal's lap starts in the south and ends in the far east. This Senegal racing game runs on a track drawn from Senegal's border and coastline: from Ziguinchor it heads through Boudody Escale and Kolda, across to Tambacounda and Kaffrine, then west through Fatick and Kaolack to Thiès and the Cape Verde peninsula, up the coast to Saint-Louis, and all the way back to Kédougou.

The Senegalese Grand Prix is a rolling cliff road with 25 metres of climb over 4.9 km and 14 corners.

Around the Senegal track

The African Renaissance Monument rises over the coast, the biggest thing in the view. Pastel houses in the style of Gorée sit by the water, pirogues are pulled up on the sand, and a baobab stands in the savanna. Modern African buildings line the road, and minibuses and yellow taxis are parked by the fences. The banner reads Bienvenue au Sénégal and Dalal ak jamm, and the boards name Saint-Louis, Thiès, Gorée, Casamance and Touba.

How to drive the Senegal circuit

The main straight is 1,010 metres and ends at Ziguinchor, turn 1. Straight after it comes Boudody Escale, turn 2, the slowest corner at 62 km/h, so the first two corners make or break the start of the lap. The rest rolls gently along the cliffs towards Saint-Louis.
