Old-school forest

Turn one squashes the car into the road, and then the ground falls away. A Belgium racing game with real hills, it lays a track drawn from Belgium's border through old-school forest, with 15 corners named after the places it traces: Antwerp first, then Limburg and Liège, down through Lanzerath to Luxembourg and Arlon, across Namur and Hainaut, and up through West Flanders to finish at Brugge. It climbs 105 metres in all.

The Belgian Grand Prix is a nod to Spa and its elevation.

Around the Belgium track

The Atomium stands over the skyline, its silver spheres hard to miss. Further round, the guildhalls of the Grand-Place line one side of the scenery, and Manneken Pis is there too. Dutch-gabled houses run along the roads, wheat grows in the fields between the trees, and trams and cars wait by the fence. A banner reads Bienvenue · Welkom, and the boards say Antwerpen, Gent, Liège, Ardennes, Brugge and Spa.

How to drive the Belgium circuit

The main straight is a short 420 metres into Antwerp, and turn 1 is a compression that loads the suspension hard. After that comes a long plunge through the forest. Namur, turn 10, is the slowest corner at 85 km/h. With 105 metres of climb, the hills shape every braking point.
