It's a track drawn from the Isle of Man's coastline, from Point of Ayre at the northern tip down past Ramsey Bay and Maughold Head, through Ballacannell to Douglas, round Derby Haven and Langness, past Castletown Bay and Colby to Spanish Head, then back over Corrins Hill.

It's 4.9 km with 12 corners and a dramatic 110 metres of climb.

Around the Isle of Man track

The Laxey Wheel, a great waterwheel on the hillside, is the landmark to look for. Peel castle stands on the coast, a TT grandstand overlooks the road, and the lap threads through small villages of terraced cottages. Cars and mopeds are parked along the fences, the crowd waves flags, and a Manx banner reads Failt erriu. The boards around the course say Douglas, and the sky stays clear.
