Speed is the point of the Italy racing game. It's a race track shaped like Italy, boot and all: from Genova on the Riviera it runs north to Varese and Bolzano, east to Gorizia and Venezia, down the Adriatic side past Ferrara to Lecce at the heel, then round Taranto to Reggio Calabria at the toe. Eleven corners over 4.3 km, with long straights between them.
It's a classic parkland circuit, flat with 12 metres of climb, and a nod to Monza in how it's built for top speed.

Around the Italy track
The Colosseum is the centrepiece, and the Leaning Tower of Pisa and a Tuscan avenue of cypress trees appear along the way. Part of the lap runs past a stretch of old concrete banking. Vineyards and olive groves cover the hills, Mediterranean buildings line the roads, and cars and mopeds are parked by the fences. The banner reads Benvenuti in Italia; the boards name Milano, Torino, Modena and Sicilia.

How to drive the Italy circuit
The 920-metre main straight ends at Genova, turn 1, and the braking there is heavy. The slowest corner is Lecce, turn 8, at 81 km/h, out on the heel. With almost no elevation, the lap is about braking late and getting back on the power early, again and again.
