Horned roofs and a crater lake set the scene for this Sumatra racing game. Sumatra is an island of Indonesia, which has its own separate circuit, and the track drawn from Sumatra's coastline runs the length of it: north to Aceh, down the Strait of Malacca past Riau and Jambi, then south to Palembang and Lampung before turning for home. There are fourteen corners, each named after a real place on that coast.
Lake Toba inspired the setting, and the lap is parkland around the water, rolling gently over 30 metres.

Around the Sumatra track
A haze hangs over the water, softening the outline of the volcano that rises behind Lake Toba. Along the shore the Rumah Gadang houses curve up at the ridges into sharp horns, and a stilt house stands at the edge of the lake. Palm oil plantations and rice paddies fill the gaps, mopeds and minibuses wait behind the barriers, and the boards read Medan, Padang, Toba and Bukittinggi.

How to drive the Sumatra circuit
This is a lap for top speed. The main straight runs 1,180 metres before the brakes go on for Sumatera Utara at turn 1, the best overtaking spot on the circuit. The slowest corner is Sumatera Selatan at 79 km/h, late in the lap, and getting it right makes the run through Palembang and Lampung come easily.
