Indonesia's circuit is drawn from Kalimantan, the Indonesian part of Borneo, rather than from the whole country. This Indonesia racing game is a track drawn from Kalimantan's outline, with 22 corners over 4.3 km: from Gunung Lemanit out to Tarakan, down the east coast through Bontang and Samarinda along the Makassar Strait, round Bandjarmasin and Sampit in the south, then up the west through Pontianak and Singkawang to the Datu Peninsula.

The Kalimantan Grand Prix is a volcanic jungle lap with a dramatic 90 metres of climb, its scenery in the spirit of Bali and Java. Java has a separate circuit of its own.

Around the Indonesia track

A Dayak longhouse stands at the edge of the forest, and a volcano rises over the lap. Rice terraces step down the hillsides with a hut among them, oil palms and paddies fill the lowland, and a river barge sits on the water. Mopeds and minibuses are parked by the fences, flags fly in the crowd, and the banner reads Selamat datang. The boards name Jakarta, Bali, Mandalika and Borneo.

How to drive the Indonesia circuit

At 290 metres, the main straight is barely a breather, ending at Gunung Lemanit, turn 1. Teluk Suleman, turn 5, is the slowest corner at 71 km/h. Then the road climbs to a hairpin and plunges down a steep drop, and the other 17 corners keep coming.
