Tasmania is an island of Australia, which has its own separate circuit, and in this Tasmania racing game the track is drawn from Tasmania's coastline. The lap starts on the Bass Strait, the water between Tasmania and the mainland, then runs down the east coast past Bicheno and Dolphin Sands, round Port Arthur to Hobart, along the south to South West Cape, and up the wild west side through Queenstown.
The road hugs the coast, hilly with 52 metres of climb, in the spirit of the Tasman Peninsula.

Around the Tasmania track
Cradle Mountain rises over the lap, and the coast below it is wild and open. Richmond Bridge stands near the road, a lighthouse marks the headland, and wallabies graze in the grass beside the barriers. The houses are British-style terraces. Utes, cars and campers are parked by the fences, a Welcome to Tasmania banner hangs over the crowd, and the boards read Hobart, Launceston, Devonport, Freycinet and Bicheno.

How to drive the Tasmania circuit
The 570-metre main straight runs to the Bass Strait at turn 1. Then the coast gets busy: 17 corners in 4 km, with the slowest, Monk Bay, coming early at 67 km/h, so it's worth giving up a little entry speed to get the exit right. The road keeps climbing and falling along the shore.
