Nine corners and a lot of speed: this Thailand racing game is a modern, purpose-built circuit with Wat Arun on the skyline. It's a race track shaped like Thailand, so the lap runs from Chiang Rai in the north through Loei and Nong Khai, along the Dângrêk Range, down to Chanthaburi and the Gulf of Thailand, then deep south to Yala before the Strait of Malacca brings it round.
The Thai Grand Prix is a gently rolling lap with 29 metres of climb.

Around the Thailand track
Wat Arun rises on the bank of the Chao Phraya, its spire standing over the circuit. Closer in are a small spirit house, a Thai temple and a reclining Buddha. Rice paddies fill the flat land by the river, and tuk-tuks, mopeds and yellow taxis are parked behind the fences under a banner in Thai script. The boards read Chiang Mai, Phuket, Pattaya, Buriram, Krabi and Bangkok.

How to drive the Thailand circuit
The 1,040-metre main straight ends at Chiang Rai, turn 1, the best overtaking spot on the circuit. With only nine corners, each one counts. The slowest is Yala, late in the lap, at 84 km/h, which is quick for a slowest corner, so commit and carry the speed down to the Strait of Malacca.
