Lakes, tea and banana groves line this Uganda racing game. The track is drawn from Uganda's border, starting in the far south-west at Kisoro and running up the western side through Nebbi, Zombo and Koboko, across the north past Adjumani and Kaabong, down the eastern edge at Amudat, and round to Namayingo in the south-east. Ten corners, each named after the place it traces, make a simple, flowing lap.
The Ugandan Grand Prix is flat lake parkland, with only 10 metres of climb.

Around the Uganda track
The Kasubi Tombs are the landmark here, and the Source of the Nile is marked by the water. Ankole cattle, with their enormous horns, stand in the fields, and tea terraces and banana plants cover the ground around the villages. Mopeds and minibuses wait behind the fences, the banner says Tukusanyukidde and Karibu, and the boards read Entebbe, Jinja, Rwenzori, Gulu, Victoria and Kampala.

How to drive the Uganda circuit
The 800-metre main straight ends at Kisoro, turn 1, the spot to make a pass. It's flat everywhere, so the challenge is the line rather than the hills. The slowest corner, Zulia at 83 km/h, comes on the northern stretch, and even that one can be taken with some speed.
