Mist drifts through the trees in this Vancouver Island racing game. The island is part of Canada, which has its own separate circuit, and this track is drawn from Vancouver Island's coastline. From Mill Bay the lap passes Victoria at the southern end, runs up the west coast through Numukamis Bay and Tofino, threads a string of points and passages, and rounds the northern tip at San Josef Bay before the Queen Charlotte Strait.
The setting takes its cue from the Pacific Rim rainforest, rolling over 28 metres of climb.

Around the Vancouver Island track
Carved totem poles stand at the edge of the rainforest, and mist hangs between the trunks. Seals rest on the shore, fishing boats sit in the bays, and a log cabin hides in the woods. It's damp, green and quiet away from the crowd. Pickups, SUVs and cars are parked behind the fences, and the boards read Victoria, Nanaimo, Tofino, Campbell River, Comox and Ucluelet.

How to drive the Vancouver Island circuit
The 940-metre main straight runs into Mill Bay at turn 1, the best place to pass. The rest is a coastline lap of 16 corners, rolling gently through the forest. The slowest is British Columbia at 65 km/h, late in the lap, so brake early in the mist and save something for the run to the line.
