Mist rolls over the mountains on the Colombia racing game, a 4.9 km lap that climbs 163 metres in total. It's a track drawn from Colombia's border and coast: from Nariño it runs up the Cordillera Occidental and Chocó to the Golfo de Urabá, past Atlántico to the Península de la Guajira, then down the eastern border through Vichada, Guainía and Vaupés to Leticia and Amazonas. Fourteen corners, all named after real places.

This is the Colombian Grand Prix as an alpine mountain race, and the extreme climb makes it a lap to learn slowly.

Around the Colombia track

Las Lajas Sanctuary is the landmark you'll remember, rising above the track. Wax palms stand tall on the slopes, Cartagena's colonial balconies line one stretch, and tea terraces and banana plants fill the gaps. Yellow taxis, buses and mopeds are parked behind the barriers. The banner reads Bienvenidos a Colombia, the boards name Medellín, Cali, Cartagena and Bogotá, and the mist keeps the far peaks hidden.

The slowest corner is the Península de la Guajira at 69 km/h, at the top of the map, and with 163 metres of climb you'll feel the road rise and fall all lap.
