Panama is narrow, and its circuit makes the most of it. This Panama racing game uses a track drawn from Panama's outline, so the lap starts at Darién, swings out to Jaqué and La Palma, then follows the Golfo de Panamá west across the Península de Azuero to Veraguas and Chiriquí. From Bocas del Toro it comes back along the Caribbean side to Colón, over 18 corners named after the places they trace.

It's a hilly cliff road with 57 metres of climb, and it hosts the Panamanian Grand Prix.

Around the Panama track

The Panama Canal locks dominate the view, with a container ship on the water and the Biomuseo close by. The town buildings are Latin colonial, banana plantations line the hills, and a painted diablo rojo bus sits among the buses and pickups parked behind the fences. A banner reads Bienvenidos a Panamá, and the boards along the barriers carry Colón, Canal, David, Bocas and Panama City.

How to drive the Panama circuit

The main straight runs 770 metres and ends at Darién, turn 1, which is where most passes happen. Two corners later comes La Palma, the slowest on the lap at 69 km/h. The rest is a long, hilly sweep along the cliffs, so keep the car tidy through Veraguas and Chiriquí before the run back to Colón.
