Most of this Nicaragua racing game happens on the Caribbean side. The track is drawn from Nicaragua's border and coast: El Paraíso at turn 1, then Chinandega, Ocotal, Nueva Segovia and Jinotega across the north, out to Cabo Gracias a Dios, and down the coast through Laguna Tasbapauni, Punta Ebo and Bluefields to San Juan de Nicaragua and the Rio San Juan. The main straight carries you back across to the line.

The Nicaraguan Grand Prix is a flat lake-park layout, 10 metres of climb in 4.3 km, with mist over the water.

Around the Nicaragua track

The twin volcanoes of Ometepe rise out of the lake, and the cathedral at Granada stands bright among the colonial streets. Banana plants line the lake park, horse carts wait beside the buses, and mist drifts across the water, blurring the far shore. The banner reads 'Bienvenidos a Nicaragua', and the boards name Granada, León, Masaya, Ometepe and Managua.
