Rain is falling on the streets of this Taiwan racing game, and Taipei 101 towers over the lap. The circuit is a race track shaped like Taiwan, its eleven corners named after places on the coast: from Yuanshan Wan round the southern end at Pingtung, up the west side through Kaohsiung City, Tainan City and Taoyuan, then through New Taipei City and Taipei to Keelung and Yilan.
It's a downtown street circuit, short at 3.7 km but hilly, with 42 metres of climb.

Around the Taiwan track
Taipei 101 rises above the rooftops, its stacked tower high over the city. A temple with a curling dragon roof sits by the road, market stalls crowd the pavement, and tea terraces climb the hills behind. Rain falls for the whole race and the tarmac shines with it. Mopeds, yellow taxis and cars are parked behind the barriers, and the boards read Kaohsiung, Taichung, Tainan, Hualien and Alishan.

How to drive the Taiwan circuit
Everything builds to turn 1. The main straight is 1,220 metres, long for a street circuit, and it ends at Yuanshan Wan, the slowest corner on the lap at 69 km/h. That's a huge stop from top speed on a wet road, so brake early. After that the streets climb and fall through the city.
