Old town

Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque stand over the old town in this Türkiye racing game, a street circuit of 22 corners squeezed into 3.7 km. The track is drawn from Türkiye's border and coastline, so the lap starts in the far east at the Lesser Caucasus, comes down past Hakkari to Hatay, follows the south coast through Adana, Mersin and Antalya, turns up the west coast past İzmir and Çanakkale, and finishes at Istanbul and Sakarya.

It rolls over 31 metres of climb and stays busy from start to finish.

Around the Türkiye track

Hagia Sophia's great dome sits above the rooftops with the Blue Mosque nearby, and further out the fairy chimneys of Cappadocia rise from the hills, hot air balloons hanging in the sky above them. The streets are lined with courtyard buildings and olive trees, cars and minibuses are parked at the kerbs, and the banner reads Hoş geldiniz. The boards name İstanbul, İzmir, Antalya, Kapadokya, Bursa and Ankara.

How to drive the Türkiye circuit

An 820-metre main straight ends at the Lesser Caucasus, turn 1, the best place to pass. From there the old-town streets come thick and fast. The slowest corner is Hatay at 70 km/h, turn 7, after the run down from Hakkari. Brake early, because the next few corners follow quickly.
